Hope everyone had a wonderfully Merry Christmas!
We always enjoy getting together with my family on Christmas Eve at my sister's house. Several years ago, due to work schedule at the time, we had to get together pretty late. So, to make it easy, we decided to have the kids wear their PJ's! The kids loved the idea, and it became a family tradition to always get together on the afternoon/evening of Christmas Eve and wear their PJ's. :-)
Granddaddy & Grandmamma gave all five kids the new Nerf Stampede. Can you believe that each gun requires SIX D batteries?!? Yes, Nerf bullets were flying by the end of the night in an all-out Nerf war in my sister's house! LOL!
6 "D" batteries ~ $6.00
1 super Nerf gun ~ $40.00
Hysterical giggling that ensued ~ priceless!
In addition to the Nerf stuff, the boys also racked up on Legos and cash to go buy some other things they want. Zeke plans to look for a used Nintendo DS at a game exchange store, and Alex has not decided just yet. I think he's leaning toward some new XBox controllers, but who knows...

Expecting another relaxing weekend for New Years. We don't plan to do much since the forecast for New Year's day is thunder-showers. Looks like we'll just have a lazy movie day to welcome in the new year. I hate that there are no good movies coming to DVD this week. Maybe we'll be able to find a good old one that we've missed...any suggestions? We love good family action films like The Sorcerer's Apprentice, Percy Jackson..., and Avatar.
