2009 is already flying by!

I can't believe that February is already around the corner for 2009! I hope everyone is doing well. Unfortunately, we're experiencing a rough start for the new year. Due to the economy crisis, FedEx Freight is struggling to have enough work for its employees. As a result, Wayne has been off a lot lately, which is good and bad. While we love having him home, if he doesn't work, he doesn't get paid. We're currently cutting all the corners we can in hopes that work will pick back up before we reach the point of no return! But, it definitely has been nice spending a lot of family time together.

Luckily, we did most of our Christmas shopping back in the fall before the FedEx difficulties, so the boys are loving their new PS3 and Rock Band2 set that Santa brought. Alex is especially becoming more interested in music. Wayne received an old guitar from his cousin which he had repaired last year. Alex was thrilled that he has his own electric guitar, but he had no accessories--amp, cords, strap, etc. His Aunt Ya-Ya and cousins gave him an amp and cords, and he got a strap and picks in his stocking. He's ready to go now! Hopefully, we'll have a chance to do some guitar lessons soon. Zeke's not real sure about anything just yet, but he's got time.

Right now, as I type at nearly 1:30 in the morning, the boys and their cousin are jamming out on Rock Band2. They have said their favorite songs are The Sickness by Disturbed, Chop Suey by System of a Down, and Eye of the Tiger by Loverboy.

Well, time to close for now, my timer is going off for our chocolate chip cookies! I will go through pictures for some new stuff to post soon.
